A theory about leaves

The say that in nature, art is the flower and life is the green leaf.

In our case though, the flower is absent while the leaf is so beautiful that it becomes art.

We created these four leaf shaped diamond rings in four different colours. Someone would call them statement pieces.

We just call them our typical rings!

Dali’s Diamonds

Fun fact: During his career, Dalí made a series of strange watches. One of them was up for auction in Sotheby’s May 17 Impressionist and Modern sale in New York. This little brooch/watch, aptly called The Eye of Time, is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before.

It is one of the many cool mid-century timepieces that can be found from time to time. One of the coolest things about watches is that they can be found in many different forms with many different functions. This edition of The Eye of Time was auctioned at May 17 at Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale at Sotheby’s New York. It was sold for 372,500 USD.

A day with Celia Kritharioti

 Our close friend and fashion designer Celia Kritharioti, who every season creates beautiful, feminine, embellished pieces, recently presented a big fashion show at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation in collaboration with the Orama Elpidas Organization.

On the occasion of that event, we decided to shoot some of her creations with our diamond earrings collection. We thought that by combining Celia’s clothes and our diamonds, something even more beautiful would come out as a result. What do you think?

We shot three of our favourite teardrop earrings (ideal accessory for future brides!), our “running river” earrings, as well as our starlight pair.

What happens when a diamond ring valued at $456,000 is bought for $13?

Thirty years ago, a woman in Isleworth, west London, bought an “exceptionally sized” ring she assumed was costume jewellery for £10 ($13) at a car boot sale. Now, after decades of wearing the ring daily, she’s about to get £350,000 ($455,000) for it at a Sotheby’s auction in July, if it sells for its expected price. That’s because the ring is actually a 26-carat, cushion-shaped white diamond from the 19th Century, according to the BBC. Head of Sotheby’s London jewellery department Jessica Wyndham called the ring a “one-off windfall, an amazing find.” According to the Evening Standard, the owners are “incredibly excited.” “Anyone would be in this position, it’s a life-changing amount of money,” she said. “No matter what your background is or what your past experiences have been, it’s going to revolutionise someone’s life.”

Pippa Middleton wore “something old” at her wedding

Pippa Middleton adhered to the wedding tradition of wearing “something old,” sporting the earrings she wore to sister Kate Middleton‘s wedding on her own big day.

 Middleton married James Matthews in a private ceremony at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, England, on Saturday.

The recognizable Robinson Pelham pear-cut diamond drop earrings — which she wore during her famous bridesmaid turn in 2011 — complemented her custom silk cotton lace gown by Giles Deacon and custom Manolo Blahnik Seneca shoes. Middleton’s “something old” earrings were part of a set of jewelry commissioned by her family for Kate‘s big day. Kate’s earrings had featured an acorn and an oak leaf, both part of the Middleton family’s coat of arms.

Happy Birthday Naomi!

With countless magazines covered and shows walked, she’s more than made her presence felt within the fashion industry. Naomi Campbell turned 47 years old today and she looks more fabulous than ever.

The star has dabbled in everything from modeling to clothing design and even acting (in the hit series Empire) but her gorgeous complexion and shiny locks haven’t changed a bit.

With Naomi celebrating her birthday today, we couldn’t help but remember the Danelian campaign we shot with her some years ago.
