One of the world’s largest diamonds has been discovered this month and could be worth up to a staggering $40 million!!!
It is a 910-carat diamond of “exceptional quality” as it has a D-color grade, meaning it is totally colorless and is a Type IIa diamond considered the most chemically pure diamond variety. Now, that is a jackpot!!

This new discovery is thought to be the fifth largest in the world. The biggest diamond discovered is the 3,106-carat Cullinan diamond found in 1905. It was cut to form the Great Star of Africa and the Lesser Star of Africa which are set in the Crown Jewels of Britain.

The 1,109-carat Lesedi La Rona found in 2015 is the second-biggest, with the 995-carat Excelsior diamond and 969-carat Star of Sierra Leone being the third and fourth largest.
What a great discovery this was!!
