A building in the shape of a diamond!
The London-based elite architecture firm Foster+Partners has submitted the final designs
for the new High Court building of Andhra Pradesh’s capital city Amaravati in India.
It will be designed in the shape of the historic
Koh-i-noor diamond!
The architects took a cue from the region’s history as this was the place where the rare diamond was discovered.
Found in the 13th century, according to legend it first weighted 793 carats and its name means ‘Mountain Of Light’
The gem has since been owned by many famous personalities.
Among them, Queen Victoria that ordered it cut down and put on the royal crown.
